Red Cherry Lashes

I have been getting very into falsies lately. They really "oomph" up your eyes, and can give you a super glamorous or sexy look. I just got a mega haul of Red Cherry Lashes because I love love love them! I first tried them when Kim Kardshian recommended them in a makeup interview.

*this is not my picture... my camera has been broken for about a month now = (

Red Cherry Lashes are made of 100% human hair and come only in black. I have purchased them from numerous sites, just because every stores price range varies. I found the online winner though! I purchased a pack of 12 #47 lashes (pictured below) for only $12.60... that is only $1.05 a pair! It's ridiculous.

So where am I getting such a great deal on Red Cherry Lashes? Check out BeautyShopOC.com! They carry NYX and Red Cherry products for suuuper cheap. Cheaper than anywhere else I can find. You can buy packs of lashes in 4, 6, or 12... or just single pairs for $1.60. There shipping is fast and cheap too, I only paid $2.99 for shipping. You really can not beat that.

Summer Face Product Reviews

Since the weather is getting warmer I've been on the look out for light-weight foundations and moisturizers to use. I'm still stuck on liquid foundations... they just go on much more even than mineral powders and they don't oxidize as fast, or sometimes at all, like the powder foundations do.

Covergirl Aqua Smoothers Tinted Moisturizer - $6-8
This is the first tinted moisturizer I have tried... and its OKAY. When I first applied it I was pleased with the sheer coverage and warm glow it added to my face (I purchased it in Medium/Dark). The color didn't oxidize or fade, but my face would look very greasy by the end of the day if I didn't apply powder and touch up every 4-5 hours. So, I suppose this product is great for on-the-go or if you have normal/dry skin... But overall I'm still on the lookout for a better tinted moisturizer which isn't TOO HORRIBLY expensive. So, feel free to leave suggestions for muah!

Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation - $14
One of my best friend's let her friend host a Mary Kay party at her house. Before this I had never tried any MK products. Honestly, I was veeery pleased with everything we go to try on and use that night. The only purchase I made however was the Medium Coverage foundation. I LOVE THIS FOUNDATION. It's better than the MUFE HD Foundation and anything else I have ever tried! The texture is velvety and super lightweight. Like putting on face lotion. I no longer use concealer because it covers everything; and I only use about a pea-size drop over my entire face each time. I have worn this to the clubs and those super late nights out where you don't get home till 6am type thing, and my face still looked as fresh as can be. If you're like me and love the matte skin over the dewy finish, this hands down is the best at the job.

Jergens Natural Glow Face Lotion - $8
I bought this stuff because I've become hellaaa dark since about a month ago. And frankly, my face never tans the same as the rest of my body. It was about 5 shades lighter. This stuff is like a self-tanner for you face. You use it once or twice a day and your face gradually becomes tanner. I like that it evens out skin tone too, so on regular days when I don't feel like using foundation I still feel good about the way my skin looks without makeup.

MIA!?

No, I am NOT dead! Geeze, its been a good minute... or a month or two... since I last posted anything. Sorry guys, its been a stressful time lately. To put things shortly, my grandpa had a heart attack and had to have an emergency heart by-pass so my family and I have been doing what we can to help him!

I have nothing special for this particular post, but you can expect the following:
  • Covergirl Aqua Gel Tinted Moisturizer Review
  • Mary Kay Medium-Coverage Foundation Review
  • My Summer "Must Have's" List
  • New tutorials

READERS Q&A
Q: Do you still love the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation?
A: Now that the weather is warmer and its nearly summertime, I haven't been wearing foundation lately. If you have combination or oily skin I wouldn't recommend this (or most liquid foundations) during the warmer months. It is definitely great for when its cold, but I noticed as the weather started to change it just didn't last the same as it did in December/January.

Q: Which product is better: Peel of Gold Mask or the Goji Facial Peel? And where can I purchase either item?
A: Honestly, I haven't tried the Peel of Gold mask so I couldn't tell you. I did, and still do swear by the Goji Facial Peel! It is one of the reasons I haven't been wearing foundation lately... My skin is nice and glowy and blemish free thanks to it! Both products are by Secrets of the Himilayan. You can purchase both from their website, and look of the closest location to you from their website.

Gaga for Gaga!

In honor of Just Kiss 'N Makeup's "I'm Gaga for Gaga Contest!" I put together an outrageous outfit I believe Lady Gaga herself would love to rock. I'd love to actually buy these pieces, but I know it would just end up in a heap at the back of my closet. So until my outfits get more creative and I earn more money... I will be happy pretending. And you can pretend I found a really kick ass black leather or shiny jacket to go with this outfit... Couldn't find any I really liked, but I think it would have really put together the whole look.

Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga - by katiekat_2739 on Polyvore.com

2. Shiny High-Waist Shorts - $28
3. Zipper & Back Bow-Tie Pumps - $24.99

Lady Gaga reminds me of some kind of futuristic barbie doll sex machine. She seems to be dipped in latex! The girl is fierce; any woman who considers a leotard a full outfit AND can pull it off... well that is major brownie points in my book.

Her lyrics are catchy, sexy, and sassy and I always find myself dancing around when her music is playing. When "Just Dance" first got put on the radio I recall being at a party... drunk, o course... I ended up on the kitchen counter dancing in my purple spankies. Purple has been my nickname ever since.

I have my entire look planned out. And once I get time to actually throw it together and take pictures I'll post my entry. Lady Gaga goes Dime Piece!

More Stuff that is Gaga

Global Hair & Beauty Expo

If you live in northern California, the Global Hair & Beauty Expo is being held in Sacramento at the Sacramento Convention Center (on J Street) April 5-6. General admission is $35 & $14 for students. For more information & ticket prices click here.

My best friend, KC, and I plan on going! I went to the Face & Body Show over the summer in San Francisco; from what I can tell these too expos will be very similiar. Beauty shows are great for upcoming makeup artists, esthetician, etc. They have seminars and demos... and best of all VERY discounted beauty products. Sometimes you get up to 60% off retail price, so the admission price is definitely worth all the products you are getting for super cheap.

I'm already making a wishlist. I want to pick up new brushes, palettes, skin care... all that good stuff. I will be holding a contest in the next month or two, so I will also be prize shopping for my lovely readers = ) Let me know if any of you are going to the show too!

$pring $hopping

I decided to get my hair re-styled, NOT CUT... I ended up leaving the salon and this cunt took FOUR FUCKIN INCHES of my hair off. I guess it isn't that big of a deal because my hair was almost to my lower back... but I wanted to keep it long, just add a bunch of layers.

(SIGH) So now my homegirl is going to re-cut and style my hair for me, and I am considering dying it black... I didn't wanna take a picture of my hair right now just because the girl didn't do anything to it besides hack off a few inches. I strictly said I WANT LOTS OF LAYERS... and she added like two? Um, I think it is needless to say I will not be having her cut my hair again.

UPDATE: Everyone who purcahsed clothes or accessories from me, all your items have officially been shipped! Sorry once again for the delay, but you all shall be recieving your goodies any day now.

I was shopping online last night; here are a few items on my wish list. Links provided incase yall decide you love this shit as much as me = )

Just because I saw this and was utterly disgusted:

Valentine Syndrom

It is the day after Valentines... that means major stomache ache! My baby showered me with clothes, body lotions & perfumes, and chocolates (which I already consumed...). I was supposed to come back home from San Francisco Thursday but I ended up having to stay the whole week, so my love drove down and spent Valentines weekend with me in the city = )

I JUST got home and it feels so good not to be in a damn hotel. To everyone who is expecting their items, I apologize! Work this week was just, grr there are no words. But I am home now and finally be able to send out everyone's shipments. Possibly throw in some extra goodies for the delay...

Regardless of my crappy work schedule, I had a fun weekend roamin' around the streets of SF. The shopping is amazing. Everytime I visit family or take a trip out there I wind up in the little boutique shops, that is where "the shit" stuff is. The kind of things you can't find anywhere else... Definitely check out Fillmore St., Haight & Ashbury, and Powelle and Market St. for some good shopping.

I'm trying to upload one of the videos my friends and I made Valentines Night walking through USF, but this shit is taking hellaaa days. If I post it, be mindful we just smoked... so we are on another level if you know what I mean... Not to mention I have a really bad cold so I sound like I am 12 years old in the video.

Anyway, I hope yall had a fantastic Valentines. I hope you gave and recieved great presents, had safe sex, and aren't feeling as crappy as I am from eating all that chocolate! I'll post something beauty related later, peace!
